Join us for our upcoming course: “The Narrative Spirituality of Dante’s Divine Comedy” with Dr. Sebastian Mahfood, Wednesday nights from April 15-May 20 via Zoom video conferencing.

Dante’s Divine Comedy, published between the years 1314 and 1321, is enjoying its septuacentennial anniversary providing a richness in our Catholic faith through a spirituality that is grounded in our Marian devotion. This course will provide an overview of the Comedy, demonstrating the influence our Blessed Mother has as co-redemptrix.

Week 1: Overview of Dante’s Cosmos and Spiritual Stagnation that can only be resolved through our relationship with the Holy Trinity and the pathway that Mary helps provide

Week 2: The Disintegration of Community through Human Vice as expressed in the Inferno

Week 3: Vices and Virtues on the Path to Paradise as expressed in the Purgatorio

Week 4: Free Will and Love as expressed in the Purgatorio and the Paradiso

Week 5: The Nature of Spiritual Growth as expressed across the expanse of the Comedy

Week 6: The Vision of God as expressed in the Paradiso
