Join us for our next Discipulus course with Fr. Charles Samson on the Book of Revelation! The course will take place on Wednesdays, July 29 – September 2 at the Cardinal Rigali Center from 7pm – 8:30pm.

Course Outline

Class 1 – Introduction to Revelation, Revelation 1 (Vision of Christ to John)

Class 2 – Revelation 2-3 (Messages to the Churches of Asia)

Class 3 – Revelation 4-5 (Heavenly Worship, The Scroll and the Lamb)

Class 4 – Revelation 6-8 (The Seven Seals, Seven Angels, and Seven Trumpets)

Class 5 – Revelation 12 (The Woman and the Dragon), Revelation 13 (The Beasts)

Class 6 – Revelation 19 (The White Rider and Defeat of the Beasts), Revelation 20 (The Events of the Last Days), Revelation 21 (The New Heavens and New Earth, Heavenly Jerusalem)

 

The cost of the class is $25.  There is no required text, although the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible’s “Revelations to St. John” is recommended. Register for the course below!

Father Charles Samson was ordained to the priesthood in 2013. He entered the seminary immediately after graduating from St. Louis U. High, and after he graduated from Cardinal Glennon College, he was sent to the Pontifical North American College seminary in Rome, Italy. Father Samson studied Sacred Scripture at the Pontifical Biblical Institute, and will be defending, this fall at the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome), his doctoral dissertation on Jesus’ command: “Be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). While currently residing at the Basilica of St. Louis, the King (“The Old Cathedral”)), Father Samson teaches the New Testament courses at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary and leads the transitional deacons on a Biblical Archaeology course/pilgrimage to the Holy Land every year. Father Samson enjoys running and playing ultimate frisbee with his twin brother, is always eager to talk about ancient dead languages and Marvel movies, thrives on youth ministry and young adult ministry, and simply loves being a priest!
