Bother the Fathers is back with a new twist! Meet our friends Jorge, Donald, and Peter who are discerning the priesthood in 3 different ways!
Jorge Roque is a Jesuit scholastic from Mission, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. He studied English literature at St. Edward’s University in Austin and is currently studying philosophy as part of his formation at St. Louis University. He entered the Society of Jesus in 2016.
Donald Morris was born and raised in Saint Louis. In college, Rockhurst University was calling his name, so I moved to Kansas City for two years to study business. Later he felt the Lord tugging at his heart, asking him to be His priest. He transferred from Rockhurst and has been in seminary for four years now. He is finishing up Theology II and is looking forward to his pastoral internship next year!
Br. Peter Lewitzke grew up outside Chicago in a Catholic family. While in college, he realized that the highlight of his day was at the Catholic Center, so he began to think about being a priest. He joined the Dominicans because of their passion for study and preaching as well as the warmth of their community life. Since joining the Order, Br. Peter has spent time with the home-bound and incarcerated and traveled to Kenya for a summer to work with the Missionaries of Charity. In his spare time, he enjoys reading novels and watching sports.
