It’s a new year, how is God speaking to you? We make resolutions for our health, professional, and social lives, but have we considered the spiritual transformations needed to make 2017 a year for our Lord. With a touch of his Washington, DC wit, Jonathan proposes that each of us start our own “Super-PAC”, not a political fundraising team, but a commitment to Prayer, personal Apostolate, and Community living. He will share with us about these three essentials in the life of every Christian, the life of the broader Church, and how we are being called to live as adult Catholics in the world today as part of a new year’s resolution.
Jonathan Lewis works as the Director of Evangelization, Youth, and Young Adult Initiatives for the Archdiocese of Washington. He is an alumnus of The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and holds a Masters in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. Jonathan is originally from the Kansas City area (the Free State side) and has bounced coast to coast working in churches for five years in Wilmington, DE, and San Francisco, CA before moving back to Washington, DC. Jonathan has been happily married for 4 months, is an active tennis player, and diehard Cowboys and KU Jayhawk fan.
In his talk, Mission Possible: New Year’s Resolution, Lewis speaks of practical methods Catholics can devote the year of 2017 to God’s call.
