Join Rachel as she shares her personal story about faith and gratitude during very challenging times. Rachel’s faith and prayers from others have helped her to survive three bouts of cancer-and later lung complications-as a young adult. Medically and statistically, Rachel should have died multiple times during her journey. Join us in celebrating life and finding gratitude amongst trying times.

Rachel Lozano was diagnosed with Askin’s Tumor cancer at the age of 15. She relapsed at age 18 and 19 and went through many treatments. More recently, Rachel has been battling long-term lung infections that have led to many surgeries and treatments. Along the way, she was able to obtain degrees in interior design, art, psychology and a Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling. She is the art therapist at Mercy Children’s Hospital’s inpatient floor. She has been married to her husband, Gabe, for 9 years. She also was awarded Glamour magazine’s Woman of Your Year award in 2008. She enjoys volunteering, traveling, making art, writing and doing inspirational speaking internationally.
